The post holder will support the team to raise the achievement and attainment of Children Looked-after (CLA) pupils within Torfaen schools and those placed in other authorities and to act in partnership with Schools, Social Care and key stakeholders to meet performance targets of all Children Looked-after. This post is to commence from 01.09.25 or as soon as possible thereafter. This is an exciting time for an ALN practitioner to join the team and an opportunity to contribute to shaping the vision for the service moving forward. The successful candidate should have experience of working in an ALN role at casework level and be able to demonstrate an understanding of service level work. In addition, candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to be resilient, to be flexible and to adapt quickly to change. The post includes responsibility for delivery of the LA&©s statutory responsibilities outlined in the ALN Code. In addition to understanding the complexity of individual learner, family and school needs, the successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
