We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated professional parenting officer to join the team. Your professional expertise in delivering parenting support will contribute to positive outcomes for the families of Torfaen. The successful candidate will also play a key role in ensuring the Torfaen parenting support is aligned to the principles of the Councils Communities Approach, Early Intervention and Prevention. As a trained facilitator in the following parenting programmes; Family Links, Talking Teens and Circle of Security, you will take a lead role in planning and delivering parenting support across Torfaen. The successful candidate will also be the lead officer for the reduction in the use and tolerance of the physical punishment of children in Wales. They will provide a bespoke package of 1:1 parenting support for parents/carers offered an Out of Court Disposal in accordance with the Children (Abolition of Defence of Reasonable Punishment) (Wales) Act 2020.
