The successful candidates must be resilient, creative and flexible with a desire to become key members of the school team. The role will include working under the guidance of the teaching staff and members of the School Leadership Team in order to support the delivery of the curriculum in KS3 and KS4.You will work under guidance, to provide support in addressing the needs of students who need specific support to overcome barriers to learning. You will support individuals and groups of students to enable access to learning and assist the teacher to manage students within the classroom and beyond. Occasionally you will supervise whole classes during the teacher's short-term absence. Outreach work and contacting and visiting a mainstream school can also be part of this roleYou will have a Level 3 NVQ for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification.
