Cwmbran High School is seeking to employ an outstanding, energetic and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader of mathematics and numeracy to inspire our pupils to greater success; to commence April 2025.The successful candidate will possess a clear understanding of current educational changes in Wales and recognise the opportunities the new Curriculum for Wales enables to create the conditions for the improved development of a creative, challenging and relevant curriculum for our learners.It is vital that the candidate possesses an excellent understanding of strategies for raising standards and pupil progress, recognising that pupil achievement across a faculty stems from an excellent grasp of pedagogy. They must also have thorough exceptional understanding and awareness of a range of high-quality teaching and learning strategies and be an excellent classroom practitioner.We will expect the successful candidate to role mode, lead by example, empower and develop abilities in others, systematically encouraging reflection on practice and techniques for improvement.The successful candidate would possess a degree in mathematics, or a mathematics-based equivalent subject.
